Leonora Agnas Calantoc Tagalicud, 85, of Hilo, formerly of Pahoa, died Oct. 26 at Life Care Center of Hilo. Born in Hawi, she owned a papaya farm and was a member of Pahoa Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Visitation 5-6 p.m. Friday (Nov. 20) at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Wake service at 6 p.m. All-night vigil 9 p.m. at family home, 15-3261 Lehualani Pl., Pahoa. Visitation again 7-8 a.m. Saturday (Nov. 21) at Pahoa Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Mass at 8 a.m. Casual attire; flowers welcome; Burial at 10:30 a.m. at Homelani Memorial Park, Ilima section. Survived by son, Rogelio Tagalicud of Pahoa; daughters, Estrella (Jesus) Bartolome and Mildred (Eddie Ancheta) Carlos of Pahoa, Jovylyn (Gabriel) Jose of Kona, Elmie Tagalicud of Hilo, Naida (Flor) Castro of Honolulu; hanai daughter, Cynthia Rambo of Hilo; brother, Alfredo (Holly) Calantoc of Minnesota; sister, Lourdes Balicoco of Hilo; sister in-law: Frances Calantoc of Hilo; 12 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Zion Pomaikaiokalani DeGuzman Sr., 56, of Hilo died Nov. 9 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Waimanalo, Oahu, he was a carpenter. Private services. Mark Fredrick McDermott, 54, of Keaau died Nov. 6 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Paterson, N.J., he was a guitarist and musician and computer engineer for Xerox.
